Ask the host for the 5-character room code shown in their lobby.
The game puts a club or a national team up for auction. Example: AS Roma.
Players take turns. Raise the bid, or fold. Bids start at 1. Each turn has a 10-second clock; if it runs out you fold. Last bidder standing takes the challenge. If nobody knows the team and everyone folds before the first bid, the lot is withdrawn and nobody scores.
Alex bids 5 → Sam bids 7 → Alex folds → Sam must name 7.
Beat the round timer. Type names, say them to the mic, or (Party referee mode) shout them while friends tap Correct or Wrong. Surnames work. Accents are optional: “Schar” and “Schaer” both find Fabian Schär. Small typos get a “Did you mean…?” prompt.
On the result screen the host can overturn a call: remove a dodgy answer or allow a rejected one.
Classic Blitz with betting-style odds. Every club gets a coefficient from how hard its squad is to name: Real Madrid ×1.0, Nottingham Forest ×1.6, Brentford ×2.2. When you hit your bid, your points (every name you said) are multiplied by the odds. Missing still costs half your bid. National teams always pay ×1.0.
Noughts and crosses for two players. Clubs on the rows, countries on the columns. On your turn, claim an empty square by naming a player who fits both (e.g. Ivory Coast + Roma → Gervinho), or steal your opponent’s square by naming a different player who fits it. A player can only be used once per board. Three in a row wins the match; if nobody makes a line before the turns run out, most squares wins. Stuck on a hard board? Either player can offer a draw; if the other accepts, the match ends level.
Online matches are ranked. Everyone starts at 1000. At full-time each player is compared with every other: finishing above someone counts as a win against them, level on points is a draw. Beating higher-rated players earns more. New players move faster for their first 10 matches.
